Train Heartnet was a swift assassin known as the 'Black Cat'. The Black Cat, who supposedly died two years ago, has suddenly re-appeared as a Sweeper, a Bounty Hunter. Teaming up with Sven Vollfied, he sets out to kill the man named Creed.

The Mangaka behind Black Cat went on to create another series. To Love-Ru.

I like this series a lot. I haven't gotten a chance to read the manga and the anime is 24 episodes long.

Um, go to Hulu. It revolves around Train Heartnet, or "Black Cat". Train is an assassin for an orginization called Chronos. Chronos' assassins are called "numbers" because they have a Roman Numeral tattooed on them. Train is #13. Train's weapon is a revolver named Hades, and is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat. The main villian is a man named Creed Diskenth, another Chronos Number. Can't really say much more without spoiling, but it's awesome.
